La Sierra Artist Residency

I recently spent 1 month in Santa Marta, Colombia in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, along the coast of the Caribbean Sea. I was able to disconnect from everyday life and be inspired by the lush nature in which I was engulfed. I created a chandelier from washed up branches on the shore for the grounds of La Sierra Artist Residency, and Gitana del Mar as part of my proposal. I was also able to spend time with the community by teaching art classes in local schools, and helping out with other mural projects.
